I need to add some new phone lines in my house. The current telephone wiring is the old style red green black and yellow wire. I need to connect new cat5e cable but im not sure how they match up. does anyone know the wiring diagram for this?

Notice the note on the diagram. I wouldnt worry about changing the old wire in your house if you plan to use the outlets for telephone only unless you have noise issues.

Quad wire is not an appropriate conductor
for modern multi-line installations, and will result in
poorly performing telephone/modem/fax services, and
will not allow high speed data network communications.
If you run across it during remodel work, replace
it with Category 5e structured cabling. Any quad wire
in a Category 5e 5 installation makes the entire wiring
system susceptible to noise. The FCC has now made
the use of Quad wire illegal.
